Now, Jeannette Clift George gives us a two-act script about the second Gospel's author and what his interviews with Peter and other observers reveal about the Christ who is the unseen heart of this play. While theatrical and sweeping in its scope, the work focuses on marginal and fictional characters who knew of major gospel events and happen- ings. The facts of Jesus and those to whom He ministered are reported in natural dialogue and action. The Easter seg- ment of the drama is paticularly moving. The original A.D. Players production, then titled Holiday Journal, was with five actors, each assuming two or more roles; a conceit that added another dimension of theatricality and interest to the play. Uses an architectural unit set that provides multiple playing locations. Cast: 3 male, 2 female (playing 21 char- acters).
